Day 1 ~ KIA - Arusha
We will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to a magnificent Lodge
on the outskirts of Arusha..

Day 2 ~ Arusha National Park
A short drive from Arusha City, Arusha National Park offers a unique
opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats. Drive through
the forest area with its Black and White Colobus Monkeys, sit quietly
by the Momella Lakes to observe the shy duikers and smaller antelopes,
flamingoes and beautiful view of Mt Meru and Kilimanjaro. In the evening
we return to Mount Meru Game Lodge.

Day 3 ~ Tarangire National Park
Early morning departure for Tarangire National Park which lies approximately
7 km off the main Arusha-Dodoma road to the east of Lake Manyara. Game
drive in this excellent Park, a classic piece of dry African woodland
dotted with baobab trees and transected by the perennial Tarangire River.

Day 4 ~ Tarangire National Park
Full day with game drives in Tarangire National Park, famous
for its large herds of elephant, huge baobab trees and the Tarangire
River which attracts many animals from surrounding areas during the
long dry season. The full range of large predators are resident here
as are all the grazers and browsers, including gerenuk and fringe-eared
oryx. Tarangire also has a reputation as the best of the northern reserves
for birds with around 500 species recorded in the Park..

Day 5 ~ Gibbs Farm, Karatu
This morning we drive from Tarangire Park to Karatu on the footslopes
of Ngorongoro for lunch at Gibbs Farm. Afternoon at leisure in this
active coffee plantation bordering a patch of indigenous forest. Optional
hike to the nearby waterfall and cave or take a bird walk with the resident
naturalist..

Day 6 ~ Crater Highlands - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive up the Ngorongoro Highlands and across the Crater
rim, descending to the vast Serengeti Plains. Game-viewing and picnic
lunch en route to your luxury Lodge in the middle of Serengeti National
Park..
Meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge
Day 7-8 ~ Serengeti National Park
Two full days in the world-famous Serengeti National Park with its myriad
game species and spectacular scenery. Look for lion, cheetah and hyaena
on the short grass plains, search the trees and kopjes for the elusive
leopard, drive around the lakes and along the rivers for fantastic birdlife
and much, much more..

Day 9 ~ Serengeti - Ngorongoro
Today after breakfast we traverse again the great Serengeti on our way
back to the heights of Ngorongoro. We will visit the small but interesting
museum at Olduvai Gorge and pause to wonder at this Cradle of Mankind,
home to our hominid ancestors of so long ago. On to our beautiful Lodge,
perched on the Crater rim to enjoy the sunset over Ngorongoro. .

Day 10 ~ Ngorongoro Crater Tour
This morning we descend the steep, winding road to the Crater floor
for a full day game drive in this magical Caldera with its year-round,
high concentration of animals living within the surrounding 600 m crater
walls. Home to the black rhino as well as the rest of the ‘Big
5’ with large clans of hyaena, prides of lion, solitary leopard
and the smaller jackal, serval cat, bat-eared fox and genet. Water birds
abound, including the flamingo who .

Day 11 ~ Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara
This morning we suggest you visit the stillness of Olmoti Crater or,
if preferred, drop in on a Maasai village. In the afternoon we make
our leisurely way to Lake Manyara and our luxury lodge situated at the
base of the Great Rift Valley Wall overlooking Manyara National Park.

Day 12 ~ Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha
picnic lunch in this small gem of a Park. Stretch your legs at the Hippo
Pool watched by stately giraffe, curious zebra and resident wildebeest,
buffalo and elephant. Smile at the antics of the large baboon troops
who reside here. In the afternoon we say a sad farewell to Tanzania’s
wonderful wildlife and depart for Arusha .
